Healthy Christmas Tips (PART 1)

Christmas can be a time when we forget to look after ourselves in many ways. It can be stressful and exhausting. Here are a few tips to help you survive the silly season.

  1. If you have to drink alcohol, drink a glass of water in between alcoholic drinks.
  2. Take a quality Vitamin B every day, this will ease the stress placed on your body caused by too much festivities, family or other pressures financial etc.
  3. Exercise off those extra calories that the season brings, here’s an idea … come to Pilates !
  4. If you have a big lunch, cut out dinner that night or just have a very light fruit or vegetable platter instead
  5. Drink extra water, this seems like a no brainer but something we often forget.
  6. Take time for yourself. Christmas can be demanding trying to catch up with everyone. Just pause and enjoy your own company. Why not take yourself off to the pictures, just you on your own.
  7. Christmas can be lonely for some, if this is you, seek out some friends, even if it is just by phone or Zoom.
  8. Make a point to catch up with someone that you haven’t spoken to for a while.
